They're Back!

(10-31-2003) -- Yokohama Motorsports is working there way back into off-road racing after being absent for several years now. Yokohama has been the tire of choice for the Nikal Motorsports / Malcolm Drilling 5/1600 racecar for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. Earlier in the season Yokohama started giving some teams limited support, Nikal Motorsports was one of them. As the racing season comes to an end, Nikal Motorsports has become Yokohama's top privateer off-road team. Chad Susag with Yokohama Motorsports is quoted as saying " We are glad to be able to help Nikal Motorsports in their quest for the 2003 Score Championship. Yokohama not only hopes that Nikal Motorsports wins the championship but we also would like to see them in the winners circle at the Baja 1000."

Yokohama's commitment to help us win is big. They have offered us the use of there two tractor trailers and bobtail trucks that they will have set up along the Baja 1000 racecourse for support. Also Yokohama has gotten us the use of 12 more pit locations that are being run by a group called Baja Pits USA. This is all and above the approx. 20 men Nikal crew that we will have at the race.

Todd at Nikal Motorsports is quoted as saying, "Having Yokohama Motorsports behind us takes some of the pressure off. Chad and Yokohama have been great to work with, they give us an excellent tire and their commitment to see us succeed is overwhelming. I hope that we can win this championship and the Baja 1000 for Nikal Motorsports, Malcolm Drilling and Yokohama Tire."
